We are thrilled to unveil a new patronage scheme designed to secure the future of the Carnegie Awards, the UK’s most prestigious awards for children’s and young adult literature. This exciting new chapter in our journey was officially announced at the 2024 Yoto Carnegie Awards ceremony, where our esteemed 2022-2024 headline sponsor, Yoto, was recognised as the Founding Patron of the scheme.
Jessica Terrant, Content Director at Yoto, shared her enthusiasm for this new venture:
“We are very pleased to be announcing that as of next year, Yoto’s relationship with the Carnegie Awards will be evolving further. We have enjoyed three fantastic years as a headline sponsor of these prestigious awards – which has passed by in an absolute blur – and from 2025, Yoto are delighted to be continuing supporting the Carnegie Awards as a Founding Patron.”
This patronage scheme represents a significant step forward in ensuring that the Carnegie Awards continue to celebrate and promote the very best in children’s literature. We are deeply grateful to Yoto for their continued commitment and leadership in championing the importance of storytelling for young readers.
Stay tuned for more details on how this new patronage scheme will shape the future of the Carnegie Awards, as we continue to honour the authors and illustrators who inspire and ignite the imaginations of children around the world.
