This monstrously memorable take on a bedtime story features a host of endearing creatures and manages to be cute whilst also subverting assumptions around who gets a bedtime story. There’s a strong relationship between the text and the illustrations with high-energy, wobbly line work. The creatures have a textural quality which helps bring them to life from the page and there are fun details relating to each monster species giving lots to discover.
