I am not a big fan of the book. I think that the storyline is very similar to a lot of other books aimed for younger audiences however the illustrations are very detailed and intricate.

I think this book is really nice especially the zoomed in detail and texture. It is however not my favourite but I think that it really shows an bundle of hope through out the book. I would recommend anyone to read this book even if you are older or younger. I think that the pictures makes the octopus feel and look so huge compared to the people. Overall I think this is an nice and made with love book.

I think that the contrast between the ice and the dark sky and ocean is really powerful and the mellow light blue colour of the jellyfish also contrasts the sea, and the red of the boat just adds some colour to the whole piece. the illustrations are also very mellow and simple, and this makes them really powerful.

I love how when you look at the front cover there is sadness but also bright flowers crowding around the little girl. I also love how you can see the strokes of the pencil because it looks like it has rough edges and its like the story of the little girl in the flesh and in the drawings.
