Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody
Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody: I really enjoyed this book. It was funny and exciting. if I am honest, at first I was confused about some elements, like the entire ‘France on his knee’ situation. But now I have read the book I am invested in it completely. The black dog also confused me but now I realise what it represents I am both surprised and impressed. The twist at the end was exciting. We knew Pelicarnassus was a villain, but I was not expecting the lengths he went to. The themes of friendship despite differences came through and the emotional arc about Zeke was also strong and compelling. Even though the characters were animals, the story echoed human life conflicts. Overall I would give this book a solid 7/10 and am likely to read the sequel.

Popcorn
Popcorn: Popcorn is an amazing book with not one but two enemies (even if one is inside of the protagonist Andrew). Andrew’s anxiety takes over when several pressures appear all at once and a typical day at school goes from a stroll in the park to a race in the Olympics. To add to his stresses his beloved grandma ‘G’ goes missing and constant bullying ensues. There is some good suspense and light hearted humour involving ketchup rockets and crystal explosions. All of this created a great tension in the story for me. It helped me understand the internal impact of anxiety and how people experience things differently. I really loved this book and it is perfect for suspense lovers like me. 8/10.

Wolf Siren
This book was a great book about empowerment. I loved everything about this book and I would definitely share this with others. I had no problems reading or understanding the book, I loved Red's personality and her spirit. I honestly found myself so immersed I was annoyed at all the different characters.

Twenty Four Seconds from Now
24 seconds from now is a lovely book that is honest and thoughtful, I really enjoyed the format and the vulnerability of Nino. I definitely think that it is a worthy candidate for the Carnegie medal!

Not Going To Plan
I really liked how fast-paced the book was, I didn't ever get bored, always wanting to read more. I didn't like some of the choices that Marnie made, but that was more of just me and not an actual problem. This is a book I would 100% recommend this book to friends and family.

Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody
To summarise, this book is funny and happy at first, but after a few pages the reality check comes in. This also teaches you how “Nobodies” can find their voice and stand up for them self. Overall, the book was an 8/10 because it is mixed feelings like for the first 10 page it is humorous and happy but at the end it is kind of sad. Furthermore, Zeke proves that even a “lizard nobody” can became a hero… (sad music playing)

Ghostlines
I really liked Ghostlines because it showed the different perspectives of moving and their little island. I would definitely recommend this book to other people. It was interesting and not too predictable or niche.
