Ghostlines 
I found this book difficult to read at first, as there were many “ands” in long sentences. This book is about a girl called Tilda and a new boy named Albie, and it is based on their adventure to a forbidden island. I got to know some of the characters and as the book went on, it got better and I enjoyed it more. Overall, I feel there was more description than was necessary however I found it easy to read and it was an enjoyable story.

Lizard nobody by Patrick Ness is a super weird but really good book about a boy who feels like he doesn’t belong anywhere. It’s funny, kind of dark, and made me think about how it feels to be different, but in a way that wasn’t boring at all!

This book is perfect for people who have experienced grief or who are experiencing it currently. I totally recommend this book for people who love nature and for those who may sometimes feel like they are an outsider. This book helped me understand about grief and the feeling of insecurity when moving to a new environment!! The characters ( Albie and Tilda ) in this book are relatable and most of the time you feel like your actually there with them in the world of Ghostlines!! Phoebe

Popcorn- This book is very entertaining. It has some great illustrations and uses yorkshire language like "yer" there is also many funny quotes that made me giggle. It also uses gen alpha words like "Slay" and mentions Beyonce. I absolutely loved this book. If you like comical this book is for you. 100% recommend.

Chapter 1 Hall Monitors: The first chapter is about two lizards named 'Zeke and Daniel'. Who got chosen to be Hall Monitors by the 'Principle Wombat'. What Hall Monitors do is watching and making sure people/students around school and behave and don't get into trouble. Chapter 2 Monitoring the halls: This next chapter is when Zeke, Danie; and Alicia about to start their Hall Monitor work and when they are arguing who is the best lizard hall monitor, someone appeared and it was someone called 'Pelicarnassus. Chapter 3 Pelicarnassus: This chapter is about the pelican called 'Pelicarnassus' had met the three lizards for the first time and talk about what he's doing and what he wants.

I enjoyed reading Birdie. It had Yorkshire slang in it, which I’ve never read before in a book. I read it for several hours and couldn’t put it down. One of my favourite quotes from chapter 27 is, “ I can see that sitting next to Birdie is clearly doing your mathematics… and your knowledge of pigeons, the world of good.” Overall I’d rate Birdie 4 out of five stars I would recommend it to other readers.
