Not Going To Plan
This story was ultimately about friendships and loyalty. But also about the important message of CONSENT. The talking script style made this a fun and easy read. I really enjoyed Marnie's sassy character and although Zed is the absolute opposite to her they spark an everlasting friendship that stands the test of time. The story also highlights the need to have the courage to speak out to trusting adults when something in life is too difficult to navigate on your own.

Ghostlines
This book was very interesting and a story about family and friend relationships.I enjoyed reading the main character Tilda and her confident wild ways as she explores the island of Ayrie and her unrelenting desire to make Albie feel the same about her island as she does. All while she deeply misses her brother and navigates a life without him in it. I also really liked the fun little page illustrations though feel that they perhaps should have been puffins.

Ghostlines
I really enjoyed the mystery elements of this story and how at the beginning of the story you don't know what has happened to her brother Michael. I picked this book because of the title and cover because I usually like horror books and this seemed like it might be about ghosts. I feel this story is important because it shows are opinions should be valued and everyone should be heard out.

Twenty Four Seconds from Now
I really enjoyed that being a teenager I can really relate to teenagers going through the same thing as the characters . I really like the cover and you can instantly see what that the story is going to be about a teenage couple, so I knew what genre it would be. I think the story is important because It helps teenagers feel ready to become more intimate in a relationship.

Popcorn
I enjoyed Pop corn because it was really funny but also shared an important message. The main character, Andrew, has anxiety and OCD, on school picture day everything goes wrong. Even though some parts were stressful, I liked seeing how he learnt to face his fears. This book was an easy read and the illustrations made it even more fun. I recommend this book to anyone my age because its funny, relatable and teaches you how to brave.

Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody
Love the book. I felt I could really understand the humor and could connect to the charcters

Wolf Siren
This story takes on a new twist of the Little Red Riding Hood story. In this village males and females have very specific gender roles. The main character Red wants to challenge this. I liked the magical elements of the forest, it was like a character it's self. This story had a few sad moments, though I think it made you feel more emotion towards the characters, so it was needed.

Lord of the Flies: The Graphic Novel
I really enjoyed reading Lord Of The Flies Graphic Novel as someone who struggles to stay focused on one book. But I felt it was entertaining because its not just words, its bright pictures too and you get more of an idea of how it would of been if you were there and how scared the children were.I love how on the blurb it states "orphaned by society" because it makes the reader sympathetic as orphaned tends to be associated with alone and abandoned.I loved how it has the before the island and after at the back which shows they have been there for a long time as you can tell from hair growth and more.

Wolf Siren
The cover was what first drew me to this books. This is a great retelling of the classic that is Little Red Riding Hood. It has been given a new lease of life and relevance with it's themes of empowerment, what it means to be a woman (menstruation) all while it tackles important topics like gender roles in society. I love that Red has a visual impairment, I think that this is great representation that isn't in many books. The fact that it can be linked back to the original classic and explains why the wolf was mistaken for grandma, Makes it believable. This was a beautifully written, exciting read. I will definitely be recommending to other readers.
