Twenty Four Seconds from Now
I found this book very interesting. It involves ideas about supporting friends and family in situations where you might not know what to do at a crucial time during teenage development.

The Boy I Love
I found this book to be very boring at the beginning of the story due to the changes in the amount of words per page but the more I read, the more interesting it became and I grew more fond for the book. Also I found myself rather invested in the story overall. I believe the book to be a very good read and I would recommend it to other readers

Wolf Siren
I found this to be an excellent adaptation of Little Red Riding hood, containing wonderful twists and a dark but yet hopeful atmosphere with a brilliant feminist message.

This book was set just after WW1 and truly exposed they unjustness of the mines and how pit ponies are often abused and taken advantage of . We also see the danger's of the pit and how even if people did come back from the war they still faced the danger from the mines. We also see the dark truth of how so many people from the countryside are still very racist to this day.

Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody
While Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody comes with high praise, it ultimately fell short in my opinion. I didn't quite like how the book tries to balance incredibly silly, absurd humor with heavy, serious themes like bullying, grief, and parental depression. In my opinion these two tones felt completely mismatched, making the emotional moments feel jarring rather than impactful. The plot itself moves at a rather chaotic pace rather than building tension and instead- moving from one bizarre situation to the next making me feel unable to invest interest in the book.

Not Going To Plan
Although I thought the character concepts and interpretations were rather trite (yet another "nerdy", science-obsessed boy in a friendship with a academically failing, artistic girl), I really enjoyed the themes at play. The abortion debate was not shown as black and white, and neither was Marnie's relationship with her friends, such as her anti-choice friend Rakel, and Zed's journey with the LGBT community. I found myself identifying with Zed a lot, especially with the way Marnie sees him. The representation of the school experience was also accurate and not romanticized at all. 9/10

The Boy I Love
I found this book quite moving and it had a commendable amount of emotional depth and historical detail while maintaining a rather bittersweet tone.

Twenty Four Seconds from Now
I quite enjoyed this book. I found the plot enjoyable and easy to follow while giving a beautiful representation of teenage love. It also portrayed an accurate representation of a persons first time being physical.

It was a nice book that kept the reader entertained and had a good pace but I disliked how it only followed the person for a day and how it was unrealistic of what happened to him . It was also a bit young for me . i give it a 5/10

Not Going To Plan
I enjoyed how it focused on the consequences rather then the actions and how it exposed a side of romance you don't normally see in romance books for kids.

Ezra

The Boy I Love
I loved this book, I thought it perfectly depicted the horror of war without romanticizing the conflict of the Great War. This was perfectly balanced with the doomed romance between Danny and Stephen. It was cathartic and bittersweet to realize that they can never truly be with each other, and that there was no-one who they can truly share their secret with. The characters were beautifully written in such a way that I found myself cheering for the protagonists and loathing the antagonists. On the topic of the antagonists, it was refreshing to see that they weren't "evil Germans" at all, rather truly heartless military commanders on the British front, which was much more believable. It was also heart-crushingly beautiful that Hussey humanizes the German forces (such as Wraxall's "Kamerad") rather than depicting the conflict as being in black and white. However, I thought that where the book truly shined was in it's wonderful descriptive language and detailed depictions, lavishly sculpted imagery of scenes both of wartime and of beauty. 10/10

The Boy I Love
I really enjoyed this book because of how it described and depicted WW2 and the struggles that the characters faced.

Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody
WORST BOOK OF ALL TIME in my opinion . I hated it so much. Why is there France on a knee? 0/10 from me!

Twenty Four Seconds from Now
This book was a fun read as it showed the reality of relationships and the life of many teens around the world and also the positions people may find themselves to be within moments of depression and sadness.

Goddy

Wolf Siren
I liked how the book added a twist to the original Little Red Riding Hood story and how the animals aren't always the bad characters but sometimes its the humans that are at fault. I also liked how it was wolfwomen and not wolfmen but to be hones, I found the story a bit boring at times.

Twenty Four Seconds from Now
I really enjoyed this book as it showed me how every little thing can help build the bigger picture and even a little thing can take a long time to do (if you get my drift!! :)

Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody
Laugh out loud book, reminded me of the golden age, back in my day we wouldn't laugh half as hard at any book compared to something as guffawlarious as this here parchment.

Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody
I found this book to be an extremely fun and very adventurous read, and the wording exaggerated the author's creativity. This book really encourages the fun life of kids within school and their creative prowess.

The Boy I Love
I really enjoyed 'The Boy I Love' as it was a nice eyeopener to the dark side of the war and how so many people died from it. The book reminds us that even in those darkest moments, love can still happen.
