The Endless Sea
After reading The Endless Sea, we thought about the things that we value and the things that we would like to pack if we could, if we had to leave our homes. Inspired by The magic box by Kit Wright, we wrote our own version of the poem as a group.
I will put in my box,
A comfy, clean carpet,
A dog that flies,
A satin chair and the book of my dreams. (Anayah)
I will put in my box,
Black and grey, furry, sheets that cover you in the night
Thick and thin, long and short clothing,
Dark, ruby red roses that smell of perfume.
I will put in my box,
juicy, orange-yellow, fresh mango (Safiyya)
the majestic scent of sunflowers,
thick marshmallows, dissolving in my mouth.
I will put in my box,
the pillow from my dreams,
the gleaming of a starry sky,
the tip of a blue pencil gliding across the page. (Musa)
I will put in my box,
A magic carpet flying high,
A silk, flying horse,
And the pop of a pop-it. (Abubakr)

Lord of the Flies: The Graphic Novel
We had a go at adapting well known stories into graphic novel format. We thought about the number of panels we wanted to use, the placement of the panels, which events from the story to depict and what the characters will be saying.

Wildful
In Wildful, there is a girl who loves nature and she is just like her Grandma. Her Grandma also loved nature. She goes into a secret, natural sort of place with her dog and meets a boy. What I like about this book is the secret place that she goes to because it has lots of flowers. What I don't like is that there is a dog, because I don't like dogs. I would really recommend this book because it's enjoyable.

The Endless Sea
I really like this book because it is really tropical and mystery-like. This book is a little bit scary because it was raining and the boat was sinking into the ocean and she had a nightmare about falling deeper and deeper.
Musa
The Paper Bridge
This book is about a big paper bridge that can cross the chasm between Anya's village and the neighbouring mountain. I really like the idea of The Paper Bridge and that Anya must discover what was causing the great gust of wind threatening her home.

Lord of the Flies: The Graphic Novel
This book is about children who get stranded on an island and they have to find a way to survive and get off. I love the part where they work as a team. I dislike the part where a fight happens. I would recommend this book to people 20 years old and above because of the death of two characters.

The Endless Sea
It was a very good book. In The Endless Sea, I love the part where the girl and her family successfully escaped without getting caught. I dislike the part where war happens. I would recommend this book to everyone above 10 years old.

The Playdate
I really love this book named The Playdate! I think that it should be in all schools because it talks about stealing and feeling guilty as well.

The Playdate
The Playdate was good to read, and interesting. I suggest that 10 year olds and above read it. It should be read in all schools because it's a lesson on stealing. It's bad to steal but if you are honest and tell the truth, then a person might forgive you.

Wiggling Words
Wiggling Words was very nice. I like how the main character tried to read properly but they couldn't, and I like how the book is about dyslexia. I think that it's also about No Outsiders because she was welcomed by the people around her. They let her join in and were supportive.
