Clever Crow
This was a really nice non fiction book about crows. They seem like ordinary birds, right? But this book helps people realise that there are so many types of crow, and they are all uniquely beautiful. I loved how there were pictures of crows' eggs at the front, and then the fully grown ones at the back!

Flying High
This was such a lovely book about being creative and staying true to yourself. A boy creates a beautiful kite, but "can't play with it with everyone else as he's "not tall enough", according to the other children. But when he flies it on his own, everyone notices and appreciates it! He finds more friends and is way happier and learns to be himself.

The Invisible Story
This was such a wonderful book! It starts off with a story that nobody reads, but it turns out it's a book written in Braille. A blind girl helps the story discover that it isn't invisible or blank at all! It is just slightly different from other stories. It's such an empowering book about celebrating differences. I loved how there was a little backstory on Braille at the back of the book too. I think this was a great story and will be loved by many people in the future.

I Love Books
This was an adorable book about a girl going home on the last day of school with a seemingly impossible task - to read a WHOLE book. But, with the help of her mum, she finds a book she loves and becomes engrossed. It is decided that she actually loves books. It was a relatable, funny story about overcoming what seem like challenges, but are actually just milestones to finding what you love.

The Invisible Story
This is a touching book and inspiring. I think people who are blind would like this book since it tells people about how they understand things. I loved how the author expressed how the book is understood as empty since it is written on braille not with written words. 100% recommend.

I Love Books
I love books is a great way to show how if someone doesn't like reading books, if they just read the books that fit their style or likes then they might start to feel different about books. Also this isn't just books, it is everything! If you don't like something (for example: food) you might change your mind if you give it a try on something you like it with. Such as garlic!

The Invisible Story
I feel like this book is a very heart warming book and blind people would really like it as there isn't many pictures and instead in the book there is a bit where blind people can there finger on it and see what it says so I really like that but my favourite bit is when the girl grabs the book but then the book starts speaking telling her to not read it but she opens the book and finds out its for blind people. Overall I rate this book a 4/5.

King of Nothing
This was a wonderful book for older readers from about 10+ and was overall a relatable, funny story about secondary school and unlikely friendships. As I was reading, I was laughing so hard because of all the slang. This is an empowering story about the importance of women's rights and finding what is really important to YOU. This book was about a strange friendship between one of the meanest school bullies and the so-called "loser", Matthew. They start being friends after Matthew saves the bully, Anton, 's life. They become really good friends and Anton finds himself questioning all he is and all he has done. It's an amazing story to read with friends, family or even in class

I Love Books
I love this book. It shows how someone who doesn't like books can turn into a person who loves books just by finding a book they like/love. It shows her in the book on a adventure with a fox who in the end turns out to be her mum walking her through to like books. I give it 4 out of 5. Best of luck.

King of Nothing
This book is the best. It has loads of slang which I can relate to and it just makes me keep reading on to find out what happens next. My favourite bit is when Matthew saves Anton from the bees. At the end of the book when Anton went from being a bully to someone who helps people got stuck in my head as it shows how someone or something can change you to be a good person. This book is the best - hopefully it wins.

This is such an amzing book. A lot of the time you might think that you don't enjoy reading but then when you start a really good book it sucks you in and you can't stop. I think a lot of the time younger kids feel that reading is a chore and something that your forced to do at school but in reality it might just be the book that you are reading that isn't for you. There are so many genres and i think this book really shows that even if you dont think you like a book after reading a few pages you might end up loving it. I think this book is a great book for all ages. Although when youre older you might flick through it in a couple of minutes you can still look at the beautiful illustrations and understand th meaning behind it more than you would've when you were younger.

I really enjoyed reading this book! I think that young readers wouldn't really understand the meaning behind it but as you get older you start to understand that it is okay to feel different emotions. You can't be happy all the time but that is not necessarily a bad thing. It also has amazing illustrations that help understand the way the girl is feeling in the book. Flicking through the pages, its fun and interactive to see the cut out bits to portray how shes feeling. Each page she seems to be feeling a different emotion which shows that your emotions can change often or you can have many different emotions at once.

King of Nothing
I absolutely love this book there are so many different lessons to learn here. I think that the book really portrays how difficult life can be but also shows that you can overcome that with proper friends by your side. It makes you feel as if you are the character and that if you have had a tough past you can change even if that means turning from a bully into a kind person. It also shows the difficulty through friendship as sometimes you might think that someone is your friend but soon realise that the things they are doing are not right. It it really cool to look through the book and see how each chapter Anton starts to realise more that he shouldn't be bullying people. I would definitely recommend this book to a friend.

I Love Books
I really loved this book as it shows the power of books and reading and how you may think you hate books but all you have to do is find the right book for you and you'll realise that really, you love them. I also really like the illustrations as at the beginning in the library, most of the books look grey and boring except one. However, towards the end, she returns to the library and all of the books have magical, whimsical images spewing out of them. I also like how the fox in the story she reads represents her mum, who is trying hard to show her that reading books should feel like a hobby, not a chore.

Lara

King of Nothing
This book follows Year 9 student Anton in his journey through becoming a new person. He is "king of the school" and wears his dads imprisonment like a badge at secondary. The people he spends time with are constantly tormenting other students and are very sexist. When he is forced to join a trip called the "happy campers" where he meets school "loser" Matthew, he ends up saving Anton's life. This changes the way he acts in life and he realises that you have to make sure your friends are real and only true friends will support you and help you to lead a better life, be the best, kindest most helpful person you can be and help you in your decisions throughout life.

An amazing story all about how reading can take you to different worlds and places. This book shows that even if you don’t like something at first, if you come out of your comfort zone and try something new that dislike can turn into love. The colours were beautiful and took me into a new world. I loved reading this.

I loved reading this book as it is all about different feelings and emotions that everyone can feel. It makes you, as the reader, think about what people can be feeling all the time and in their everyday lives through amazing illustrations and cut outs. For me it was a solid 3/5

King of Nothing
I really enjoyed reading this book, and highly recommend it for mature pre-teens, teenagers, and adults too. It was funny, dramatic and very inspiring. We follow the journey of a teenage boy called Anton, who is dealing with being in a gang and trying to do the right thing. I particularly loved reading about Anton's everyday life dramas. His personality changes throughout the story. In one stage of the book he has to choose between being with his old friends (who are unkind bullies), or being with his new friends (that actually believe in him doing good in the world). Anton has to deal with some large life events when his Dad is released from prison, and his Nanna dies. With the support from his friends he is able to come to terms with them, and face his fears.

Grace

King of Nothing
King Of Nothing is an unbelievably funny book. The sort of language Anton uses in the book such as "Alpha wolf" and stuff like that are hilarious! But also near the end of the book, the way Anton's personality changes from a gang member who can't take anything without a fight to someone who protects others and helps them instead of hurting someone else is thoughtful if you think deeply about it. Also the fact that his old friends were Marcus, Caleb and Kehinde but changed to Matthew, Rochelle and Fernanda after he realised who he was as a person kind of shows that he wanted to have a change from his aggressive, gangster life to a calm one. It really shows that people don't need to look back at all the bad things that they have done in the past and should only look towards the thousands of positive and memorable moments waiting up ahead in the future.

This book is focused towards younger audience, as it has a calm theme and cut-out pages for extra entertainment. It shows how over the course of a full negative day, your sadness can be drained from other's actions, such as your mum. It's a great, calm and peaceful book recommended for all ages!

I like this book because it talks about how you don't always feel completely happy and when you don't feel happy, there will always be someone to comfort you and pull you out of that feeling of grey. I also really love the way that the illustrator has cut out windows in the pages of the book to make something on one page look like something different on another.

Lara

Lovely book and would recommend for all ages. I think younger children won’t quite get the idea that if you’re feeling down or “grey”, you can change your feelings by being cheerful. This is an amazing book and I love the pictures and how the page has been cut out. 10/10!

It's a very lovely book. There are many amazing illustrations and cut outs with many meanings. It's also like a sad emotion but it's getting more and more colourful further on making her happy at the end instead of grey.

Rene

Wolf and Bear
I found Wolf and bear very touching especially as through the book you learn that there isn't just a happily ever after and even if there is it takes time. I think this book attracts young readers however as a little girl I don't think I would have understood the full story. It catches one's eye especially the artwork. I think this is a lovely story . However to pursue it's full potential it could improve with making things clearer for young kids. But overall this was moving and had a beautiful way of showing it, sometimes you're not ready and sometimes you need to accept that that's OKAY!!

Maya

Wolf and Bear
Wolf and bear is a very inspiring book for all ages. I love the illustrations as they are incredibly detailed and the book is about the friendship between a wolf and a bear who used to be best friends. Also how sometimes everyone needs a break.

Wolf and Bear
A beautiful story with two amazing characters. I never wanted it to end. It is a story which can be appreciated at all ages. It caught me emotionally and I loved every word. It is a story which can actually happen in all our lives but told through magical artwork and wonderful language. A magnificent story.

Bay

Wolf and Bear
The illustrations were beautiful however most younger kids would not understand the deeper meaning to it and would need adult guidance to be told the meaning but the book is beautiful and ingaging definitely catches people's eyes at first sight.

Wolf and Bear
This was a beautiful, touching, and emotional story about friendship, fun, and boundaries. Although a first glance may make you think this book is for younger readers, it will enchant all ages. Through lovely pictures and engaging words, Katie Rolfe tells the story of Bear, who goes into a sad shadow, being cheered up by Wolf's incredible singing. Bear doesn't completely come out of the shadow, which shows that nobody's perfect and that life can be complicated as a journey. I highly recommend this fantastic book. It's appropriate for all ages, so be sure to read it yourself!

Clara

Wolf and Bear
I really enjoyed this book and thought that this would be great for all ages, not just young children.I really liked how the author used the art technique, cyanotype . I would overall have given this book a rating of 4/5 .

Wolf and Bear
I really enjoyed this book because it portrays realistic emotions and shows that you don't have to be happy all the time. It can also be suitable for many different ages who may understand many different meanings. I also think that the illustrations are really beautiful.

Lara

Wolf and Bear
I like the book because its like two different emotions one which is a sad emotion and a happy emotion. Eventually the bear gets affected by wolf’s happy emotions and starts to get happier. It’s also very heart warming and makes me really emotional.
