'Birdie' was a truly wonderful book. Readers can feel strong empathy for Birdie, the main character, and she herself is extremely empathetic towards Mr Duke. The book was very descriptive, and it can easily create a strong, vivid image in the reader's head. It couldn't have been clearer if it had pictures. Well done, and good luck to the author.

Lizard Nobody by Patrick Ness is both really funny and very empathetic at the same time - it balances relatability and comedy perfectly. The relationships between the characters are strong and you feel attached to the characters very quickly.
