The Final Year
The Final Year was a beautiful book that showcased the challenges people in school may be facing at home and mentally. I felt that while I was reading the book I was able to connect with the character in many different ways. I feel like Nate had many things going on in his life that readers could be experiencing themselves, and whether this was intentional or not I don't know, but if it was then it was a brilliant idea. I also feel that the friendship problems that Nate faced was a great touch that many people will have experienced. The emotion within this book are perfect, and the story was bang on. The part where karma came to Turner was a brilliant touch that I really enjoyed. I felt like the book was a great read and it is definitely the one I will pick to take home, I loved the emotion behind it! 11/10 from me!

Glasgow Boys
I thought the book was really interesting and I think that the way the book was about 2 people instead of 1 was smart. It was also a really deep and touching book about life in Scotland and about college whilst also putting the message about to face your fears out in as a hidden meaning. This is probably one of the best Scottish books I have ever read.

Little Bang
I thought Little Bang was an extremely powerful book with extremely important topics that I think that any young person should read it . For me, Little Bang evoked a range of emotions all the way from laughter to absolute sadness . I truly didn't know much about teenage pregnancy and abortion when I started reading Little Bang and now I have finished the book I feel more informed about the topics. Along with teaching me things I also feel that Mel is portrayed as a very relatable character which makes the story even more realistic to me.

Little Bang
Little Bang was a well written book, and I can see why people found it a good, emotional book to read. I, however, found it rather predictable and felt that the ending was slightly rushed. The author missed a great opportunity to write an ending filled with emotion that many people would have appreciated. On the contrast, this book managed to raise a clear awareness of abortion and child pregnancy while keeping a good story line. For this I say well done! :)

The Final Year
I liked this book, and I enjoyed reading it. This book is also very relatable and nostalgic. I loved the part where the "incident" happened to the brother. Overall, this book was one of my favorite books from the Carnegie shortlist selection so far.

King of Nothing
I thought that this book was very impactful and heartwarming, and I loved that it was a good lesson about unlikely friendships and how the people you think you would never talk to may one day be your best friends.
