Ghostlines

This book is about Andrew, who struggles with anxiety and this is the story of one day in his life. This book wasn't my favourite (sorry!) but it was very humorous and pretty funny, as well as being informative about how anxiety feels and how to deal with it as best you can. I would give this book 2.5 out of 5 stars.

This book is about a girl who lives on the island. I like this book because of the mystery and suspense - you never know what is going to happen next. I would give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Birdie
This story is about a girl called Birdie who was invited to live with her aunt. As soon as she left her home town everything changed. She felt like no-one treated her fairly, only the kindest of people. Then she met Mr Duke her friend. After she met him, her life felt happier. Little did she know what was to come... This book teaches people that they belong here and it takes time to accept things, but it's ok. We should judge people on who they are, not what they look like.

Alice

The Boy I Love

It is Andrew's picture day and he has had a haircut and a new shirt, his mum wants him to have a good picture. Then G, his grandma, goes missing, stressing him out even more. To make it worse Gene decides to beat Andrew up because he won't let Gene cheat on a test. He has a panic attack in class. Will he find G? It is a good, light-hearted way to talk about OCD. I enjoyed it because it showed what other people are experiencing, when you are only worrying about yourself.

Ava

Not Going To Plan
I think 'Not Going to Plan' is a really good book. I enjoyed the plot and I felt that you could really feel sympathy for Marnie once you had gotten to know her better. I loved it and recommend it for others to read. I would rate it 5 out of 5 stars!

Wolf Siren
Wolf Siren was a great book because it was fun and I couldn't put it down. Every paragraph ended on a cliff-hanger. I was reading until 12:30 and not even realising! It felt like I was in the woods with her. I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Ava

This is a great book with emotions that are strong and hard to manage. It is about a boy struggling with his anxiety, describing it as a popcorn kernel. He's trying to suppress panic attacks and manage family problems in this story. I would award it 4 stars, out of 5!
