Leading In Reading

Ghostlines 
So I am on exacly page 100 of Ghostlines and so far I love it, its really my style and something I would personally pick up myself, and I feel like the main character Tilda and I are so devastated that Ayrie is a fictional island as if it was real or based on a real Scottish Island I would move there right now! I love the descriptive language and it makes me feel as if ive stepped inside the book. I higlhy recomend it, the way the chapters end with cliffhangers makes me go to myself: one more chapter, one more chapter! I love how much nature is thought through in this book. Albie makes me really angry about how he doesnt like the Island and doesn't pay attention. Katya Balen is an amazing author and October October is another amazing book. its like my 3rd favourite book, It is written in in quite an easy way. I love it

I am enjoying Birdie because it shows that the racial abuse was acceptable back then but its crazy to think this now in 2026 and the way she grieves leaving all her friends

In this book, I love the setting and that the characters are unique and relateable to yourself, letting yourself become one with the characters. It feels like you are experiencing what they are like they're feelings, thoughts and life in general. The storyline keeps you on your toes, always on the edge of your seat. You can't put it down.

I haven't had the chance to read this book but based on my reading clubs reactions I've felt an intenses passion to explore the storyline, the characters and the secrets this story holds. My zeal to read this book is because I love the mysterious atmosphere it gives off. I've also heard that the 5 senses not only are being highlited by vision but focus more on sound, smells and feelings due to the authors lack of eyesight. It emmerses you into the character and ennamours you to experience the twist and turns the author has described.

This book is really interesting and I do enjoy it because it reflects real life events such as racism and also I like the way Mrs Winterbottom (her Aunt) changes her opinion on Birdie and learns to accept her more, that's why I really like this book.

Wolf siren opened my eyes. It is so cool! It talks about real issues for girls, and has fantasy and mystery, is so interesting, but mainly based on the mystery, I'm more than half way through, and I'm still in the mist of things, so it is a slow burn book, but it is worth it!

I love this book very much! I think the writing style is perfectly descriptive, and the settings seem quite historically accurate. I also like how the flashbacks were written as the author presented PTSD from the war pretty well! I definitely recommend this book :)

My review is on birdie: its one of my favourite books iv'e ever read in my whole life and I wouldn't probably read it on my my own and pick it up. This book made me fall in love with shetland ponies although with the book series Sophie by Dick King Smith which had a shetland pony so that's how I found out about that amazing breed and now my neighboor got a farm and got romeo the shetland. this amazing book made me feel so many emotions: I cried 3 times which is actually my first time I ever cried from a book, laughed, got really angry, shocked, scared, dissapointed and more. it perfectly captures racism and catches how life looked like for black, judgement and putting people in categories. the language is easy to understand so don't need to think to hard what it means but also isnt simple. I hope birdie wins this years carnegies and I couldn't recommend it more.

I have found this book very interesting hooking from the very beginning. The different emotions displayed are very immersive and descriptive so it gets your attention easily very quickly. While there are parts that are very emotional and will either make you cry or be quite angry, it just makes it even more effective.

Wolf Siren is an amazing book for so many reasons! It is a book based on mystery. It's very much related to real life, problems with Red and her mum, there are also different issues people faced in real life that I haven't seen in other books. It gives me a different perspective of reality, especially towards nature. I love this book, and so far it's my favourite. It's not something I would originally read, but I would definitely recommend it for people who like fantasy and a slice of life.
