Popcorn
I have enjoyed this book because of how it includes many subjects such as: emotions anxiety and a bully. I love how this book navigates through Andrews school picture day and how it ends up! I would definitely recommend this book.

Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody
I found the book chronicles of a lizard of nobody a really fun book because it started off by showing the characters but also showing diversity because Zeke thinks that only monitor lizards are being selected for hall monitors because they have the word monitor in there name. After a while, Pelicanarsus, a pelican is introduced as the villain and sets himself out to destroy Zeke. When the new animal, Miel arrives. People find out he is blind but he has his other senses as sharp as no one has ever seen before. Zeke also has a country on is knee called France and in the middle of the night Pelicanarsus tries to invade. He was not successful but later in class, the French start bombing the other students. It turns out it is Pelicanarsus and he had hijacked the planes and while nobody was looking, Pelicanarsus summoned a massive pelican robot and started destroying the school. The three hall monitors Zeke, Daniel and Alicia try to stop him with there lasers buut they were saved my Miel who stopped Pelicanarsus from bombing them and gave the others time to defeat him.

Birdie
I thought the book Birdie was a book that showed friendship. I think this because Birdie finds Mr. Duke in the abandoned mines but has to leave him in the mine when she gets out. But she keeps coming back to care for him and make sure he is ok. She started making friends above ground also like Brian, who once bullied her, turned into one of her new friends at her new home. I felt sad for her when she left her Great Aunt and Uncle because they did not deserve to feel like they did after there son died at war. Including that she almost lost Mr. Duke in the process of running away because he got a stitch or belly blockage from him eating fresh grass. Eventually they came back and stopped people from being killed down in the mines. Sadly Mr. Duke was thought dead after running into the mines as a gas explosion happened. Eventually though, they found him alive and nurtured him back to health. Overall I am really happy with how the book turned out and I loved how Birdie found her forever family.

The Boy I Love
The boy I love is a doomed love story about two men in the army during WW1. 19 year old Stephen is returning to the front line after injury when he meets Danny. As it's 1916, being gay is a crime and so they can't outwardly express their love for one another and as The Battle Of The Somme looms closer tensions rise in the ranks. The book is a heart wrenching love story that brings together the wholesomeness of young love and the grief of losing people to war. Beautifully written and sure to tug on the heartstrings.

Not Going To Plan
I found "Not Going to Plan" very interesting and captivating, specifically for the older audiences (15+) as it does contain a lot of mature content, and even I as the reader had to really pause to take what I had read in. But overall, really good book, as it also teaches that accidents do happen, and it's good to have people there to support you!!

Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody
I found this book hard to understand, but when I was into it, I found it really exciting. I like how this book can combine a school bully and a pelican who wants to take over the world!
