The Final Year
this was a great book and it was written in an informal style which was interesting as I haven't seen that style before in many books. it had a simple but moving story line. it was very relatable.

The Things We Leave Behind
Where to start? This book is INCREDIBLE!!!! It was very moving and flicked through perspectives: past, present and Clem's ideal world. It has a steady pace and is very believable. The twist at the end is depressing but has a bright ending. It is a truly heart-breaking, memorable story. 5 stars from me!!

Little Bang
I would recommend this book, because it's a truly wonderful read. You can see the devotion that Sid puts in for his soon to be baby. And Mel still studies hard, even though of pregnancy symptoms. This book gives you an insight view on what teenagers would actually do in a situation where abortion is possible. I give this book ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars for the amazing writing and realism. Hope you enjoy Little Bang as much as I did!

Little Bang
I like this book because it has a really good story line. The book is has realistic idea, and the author executes it really well. Mel faces a dilemma after an accident, and faces many hard decisions, while Sid tries his best to help. It entices the readers into the book and I really like it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Final Year
This book is amazingly good, heartwarming and always a joy to read. It constantly makes me happy every time I read it, and I always find new details. It's got lots of good twists and turns, and is a very quick read for a long book. The verses make it even better, as each is calm, and quick. There are plenty of cliffhangers waiting for you to read more, and I love it.

King of Nothing
I really enjoyed this book, especially the growing friendship between Anton and Matthew and the way Anton realised that he really didn't want to be the way he was. The characters were very likeable and although I found the language a bit strange at the beginning (the way the "Mandem" spoke) I got used to it. I felt sad at the end because I would love to read more about the characters and see where they went after that. With every book I read the more difficult voting becomes as I pretty much want to vote for all of them!

The Final Year
Wow what a powerful book, beautifully written and I could not put this down until I got to the end. It brought back some memories of my son doing "Skellig" at school. Also was quite emotional at the illness and hospitalisation of Dylan as one of my sons was critically ill in hospital at the same age and I thought that the author wrote about this with a lot of empathy and understanding for what it is like in this situation and how you feel. It made me think about how my other children might have felt when their brother was so ill. Fantastic story and looking forward to reading the next book "The First Year"!.

The Final Year
The final year is about a boy who is going through from year 5 to year 6. This book just made me want to read more and more, until I had already finished the book. The final year filled me with lots of emotions, as all of the writing comes from the heart and is all true. You'll read through the journey of his life, and you'll love it! I would definitely recommend this book. I give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Little Bang
Little Bang is a complex story. With two different perspectives, Mel and Sid each have their own challenges. Set in Northern Ireland, a setting I personally have not read about, it adds a depth that is conveyed perfectly. Navigating teenage pregnancy is hard and Mel's family make it difficult. Overall, this is one of my favourite books.

The Final Year
The Final Year by Matt Goodfellow is an outstanding novel written in poetry form. It tells the story of a boy in his final year at primary school and all of the challenges he faces. I have read this book twice and both times I have loved it. I enjoyed it because I can relate to some of the challenges the boy faces in the story.

The Final Year
The Final Year has to be quite possibly one of my favourite books. The author conveys the feelings of Nate perfectly and the 'Beast' is a raw emotion, which we all have inside. Nate is a character who is relatable, And Dylan is the younger sibling we all have. The way the book is written reflects Nate's character, using slang and poetry to portray Nate as someone with a free spirit at a young age. This book is incredible and I would recommend it to anyone. He has published another book which I also love and it's great to see Nate's story continue.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me.

Glasgow Boys
Wow what a fantastic read. I had not expected to enjoy this so much. There was only one disappointment - when I got to the end! I wanted more. The story is told from two perspectives - Banjo and Finley. This is a great way to keep the narrative interesting and the characters are really well built, written in such a way that you really feel for them and care about them. Both boys have had a really difficult upbringing in the Scottish care system, children's homes, foster homes and the book starts with Finley becoming of age, leaving care and going to University and Banjo starting at yet another school. The link between them is revealed gradually throughout the book. It is a story of intense hardship, friendship and first love. My favourite read this year without a doubt.

Little Bang
I love a book when told from two characters point of view in turn and Little Bang did not disappoint. A real page turner! The story is well told and you get a really good perspective of both Mel and Sid's feelings, characters and issues. It deals with the sensitive subject of abortion very well and really makes you think. Great for teenagers to read and will give them much to think about - how life can change so drastically from one small mistake. I didn't agree with how Mel went about it but the writer made a good case for why she did it, and it turned out to be the best for Sid too in the end.
