Little Bang
this was such an interesting perspective on such a touchy topic. it really made me question what is right and wrong and how perception can really change everything- right place wrong time i suppose. the ending was heartbreaking and the after effects that followed Mel really highlighted the grief shown towards mothers without a way out. i think everyone would benefit from reading this book. wouldve been really nice if there was a section showing the relationship between sid and mel a year foward. other than that brilliant. 8.5/10

The Final Year
the final year was an interesting one, the plot was quite simple but executed quite well. im not personally a fan of books written in poetry so it was kind of hard to follow and i wish the book wouldve gone into more depth about the relationships in nate's life. nice story for younger years. 2.5/10

Really good book! Very well thought of characters who had very complex stories however the multiple point perspective was a bit confusing. The end was a little bit rushed but the themes were very well-written and important

The Final Year
I thought the book was really good. It was a very quick read but still memorable and interesting. I would definitely recommend it to someone who wants a quicker book that doesn't feel rushed or like they're taking content/story out of it. It had a relatively simple plot yet felt very intriguing and honest.

I really enjoyed this book! I loved how there were different perspectives and different stories. It brought up difficult topics but it was written in a very clear way and represented some really hard things that people actually go through in real life. I would recommend this book.

Treacle Town
the grit and harsh reality of this book really conveyed a sense of struggle and being trapped successfully. i do think the pace of the book was quite uneven and that the second half was more captivating. the poems featured could've been more frequent as they were really interesting. the book left me feeling quite enlightened and hopeful for the future and how our actions affect our lives. 6.5/10- i wouldnt read it by choice, but i enjoyed it.

The Final Year
This book was very good, I liked how he described each character and it was very sad what happened to the youngest brother. I do think that the very last part, about the dad appearing after he finished his last day was a bit unnecessary but i did enjoy reading this book

Glasgow Boys
This was a good book in my opinion, i liked how they both had seperate lives and problems going on but still managed to be linked together throughout. I did find the beginning was a little bit hard to get into but overall i think this was a really good book.

The Things We Leave Behind
I really enjoyed this book! It was an exciting journey of the two young girls and the plot twist was very surprising. I loved how there were little clues throughout the book about billie that I only recognized once I knew what happened to her. Overall I think this was a great book

All That It Ever Meant
the story's plot was quite repetitive and after each chapter i felt like i was expecting more. the description of the settings and characters were beautiful and interesting- shame it was lacking in action and interesting dialogue. the character chi chi was quite a main focus yet she lacked any character development. the main plot twist was unfortunately mishandled and felt rushed. it was quite literally in the last 10 pages and although it did make the reader think, the overall message didn't work for me. i don't think the book was particularly engaging and wouldn't really recommend.

The Things We Leave Behind
I thought it was an amazing book. There were lots of twists and turns but it never felt like it was trying too hard to be interesting. I have never physically reacted to what was happening in a book but I was on the edge of my seat in the later half. It was really intriguing, well written and exciting. My one critique would be that the romance half way through felt really unnecessary and like it was taking up the parts of the book that could be more interesting and that should focus on how Clem is dealing with the events rather than her trying to date someone, especially since she started trusting him way too soon. But I still couldn't recommend it enough.

The Final Year
The Final Year has very complex and well-thought of characters that really made the book a very good read and I enjoyed the relationships between characters. The plot was good but not the best I've ever read and I did not really think the plot about the father at the end was needed and it wasn't really relevant. Overall it was a very solid book.

The Final Year
it was a simple yet enjoyable read. the plot was a bit straightforward but the writing style was pretty cool. good easy read but not if you are looking for something to keep you turning the page.

King of Nothing
King of Nothing has an uplifting end and good message however I feel it was quite childish and I'm not a fan of the style of writing. I think this book has a better plot than Steady For This as I really didn't enjoy that one.

King of Nothing
I read "Steady for This" last year and I really didn't enjoy it. However I thought this book was very uplifting and I liked it a lot. I think the slang was a bit too much but the plot was good.

The Things We Leave Behind
i really enjoyed this book. i thought the pace was a little slow at times but the setting and background was interesting and thought provoking as it correlated to current climate affairs. i would highly recommend this book... the ending was properly insane. it was really sad but it added yet another layer to the story.

The Things We Leave Behind
The Things We Leave Behind is a very emotion- provoking and gripping book, it is very engaging and has many great plot twists and kept me invested in the plot until the end. It is so heart felt and I still think about the clever plot.
Elsie
The Things We Leave Behind
I loved this book. I really enjoyed the plot line and the dystopian and slight romance element. The plot-twists were so surprising and very emotional. I would read this again.
