Ghostlines
I enjoyed Ghostlines by Katya Balen. It was a really unique plot and it was really nice to read. It was very gripping and I loved the action. I didnt really think that it involved the reader 100% though. The ending was written very well in my opinion but was a bit too quick. I think it was quite believable because of the feeling of guilt towards her brother and how Tilda thinks her island is perfect. The emotions were so raw and powerful that they made me feel as if I were in the story. The interaction from say Albie and Tilda were so awkward and raw they just felt like they were arguing right in front off me. The way that Katya Balen writes is so relatable and the pace in which it is written really resonates with my brain and how it is wired. The descriptions were so true and the words and onomatopoeia she used felt like the book was coming alive in my hand. I really enjoyed this book and others that Katya Balen has written and am very much looking forward to more books from this inspiring author.

The Boy I Love
In first place I have chosen The Boy I love, as it told a story we all know of, of the war, but from a different, unique perspective. The Boy I Love is gripping, thrilling, and terrifyingly accurate depiction of life in the time of the war.
