The illustrations are very realistic and joyful. I like how they are a kind of collage so the people look 3D and animated.

The Endless Sea
This book is very sad but it has a happy ending. I love how the pictures have so much detail and show us what is happening in the story. I like how the colours tell the story - it starts green as they go through the jungle, then grey on the ocean, it gets very dark for danger, and deep sadness then at the end there are warm colours and they are safe.
