Treacle Town
I couldn't understand it that well due to the thick accents. I am a native English speaker, but there was a swear word every other page.

Wolf and Bear
The illustrations of this book are truly magical and it really conveys the feelings and personality of the characters. It shows emotions throughout the story that probably wouldn't have been able to be inferred without them. As well as that, the watercolour illustration really sets the mood of the story and it even personifies some key things in the story, one of the reasons I previously stated the illustration to be 'magical'. (The story was also really great but this is a review about illustration so this is where the review ends.)

I Love Books
I like the illustration of this book because first of all, it really conveys the personality and the type of person the main character is. For example, in the scene where she searches for books to read, her wearing headphones show that she isn't really interested at all. As well as that, the books have dust, that represents magic, coming out of them, showing that there is hidden magic in books that you can't see until you start reading them. Also, it adds some humour to the book, as in the part after she was interrupted from reading the book, it still shows her trying to read the book, which I found pretty funny. Overall, I think that the illustration was quite creative.

All That It Ever Meant
I really enjoyed reading this book as it is quite realistic on how a family of 4 (1 dad and 3 kids) would work, and the dynamics of the household after the tragic death of their mother. And I liked how they conveyed the plot twist because it kind of answered all of the questions you had whilst reading it.

I Love Books
it was a show of what books can do 7 out of 10

The Invisible Story
This started as a story of fear that then turned into a story of understanding. It showed that everyone is different but that we are all human beings.

Clever Crow
I found this book informative and the illustrations are very nice.

Homebody
I like the colour scheme of the book and how it limits itself to the trans flag colours. This shows the way the person changes throughout the story. It also merges with a bit of fantasy, easing the the topic and using a nice extended metaphor which symbolises how you don't have to belong anywhere, and you can be want you want to be. Personally, I wouldn't read the book again as I don't find it very engaging. 6.5/10

Glasgow Boys
The story was very good. The writing from two perspectives was done well. I think the message of finding and embracing yourself was conveyed effectively.

King of Nothing
Really funny. I loved the way it played out. Can't wait to read it again.

Glasgow Boys
The book 'Glasgow Boys' is a nice story that portrays the problems plaguing society like suicide, anxiety attacks and others. Each problem is shown in a way the character has it like Finley. After attempting suicide it gives a perspective that makes us imagine how he would feel. I think the individual character storylines for Banjo and Finley were amazing, but as a whole it was quite dry. I would suggest this book to anyone who likes multiple perspectives and individual character's showing their own story in a vivid way

Little Bang
I enjoyed this book, but the ending could have been better. Overall, I wouldn't read it again as the book's plot was really slow and could have leaned more into the relationship between Mel and Sid. I also wish that Ms Kelly McCaughrain indicated the days passing as it caused me confusion throughout the book.

The Final Year
I found that it was a fun story. The writing style was new and exciting and the story was good. I could not stop reading it
