Twenty Four Seconds from Now
I have just started reading the book above, and have read only few chapters that is why I don’t fully understand the whole sense of it. However, I do enjoy reading it, because I found the idea of the first sex and respect in relationship really important, which encourages me to read more. My first expression of the book is positive , because even from first pages I see how Neon treats this kind of special moment very carefully and attentively.

Not Going To Plan
My first impression of this book was quite similar to what happens at the end, I did miss some details compared to the ending but it was worth reading it! The switch of 2 perspectives is so similar to Malorie Blackman's style and also the emotions are really clear when you put the 2 perspectives in different situations. It's one of those stories where it might relate to other teenagers or even introduce these themes to teenagers. It's quite realistic with today's views and society.

Birdie
My first impression on the book was interesting it really opened up my eyes for a life of someone who feels like they are different. It is quite a sad book but happy in the end showing a lot of racism which makes you feel some what sympathy for Birdie and her life. I do recommend, it is an amazing book which deserves to win and be read all around. I would love to read this book in lessons exploring the vocabulary and the characters more. If you are a horse lover then this book is also for you. No one deserves to be treated like they are no one just because they are different because we all are. That’s why this book is sad but true. But has a hook to pull you in, wanting more. It is a great book to teach kids that racism and no accepting people for who they are isn’t right. And that’s why this book deserves to win and be read it teaches you to always think from your heart.
