Birdie
In my opinion, I found the book quite intriguing as it described the deeper meaning of racism and how it can be difficult to adjust to a new place.I loved how she wrote about the history of not only people but animals too for example 'Mr Duke' who is a pit pony that Birdie wanted to save. Overall I am giving this book a 7/10.
Matilda
Wolf Siren
I really liked the book, the story was amazing and I liked how it shows how some of the characters changed in the end.
Erin
Twenty Four Seconds from Now
The book was really good and had a very unique story line but I wouldn’t choose to read it again.

Birdie
Great book about a young brown girl living after WWII who finds a pit pony and rescues it to stop it from being killed.
Lachlan
Not Going To Plan
I really liked "Not going to plan" because it shows how Marnie grows up and deals with MAJOR problems teenagers can sometimes go through. I liked how an unlikely friendship is born with the nerdy boy and the snarky* girl.
*I couldn't find an adjective to describe Marnie. She really is unique.
Elijah
Wolf Siren
I absolutely loved the book. I loved how it was written as a dark fairy-tale with a good amount of twists and turns. I also found it quite intriguing with the fact that Red is partially blind and that it involved the difficulties of having a period. I love that Red is considered a wild spirit who always wants to venture in the woods and witness the magic of the forest.Beth O'brien definitely knows how to keep the reader hooked.
