I have created a felt picture about it. The back looks like a shadow, which I think emphasises the significance of visual impairment in the book. I really loved this novel.

Not Going To Plan
I loved Not Going To Plan, this beautiful verse book is so relevant with the discussions about abortion happening in the world right now, however it is definitely a book for older, more mature readers. I didn't expect to feel so much connection to Marnie, but the book immerses you into her world and feelings. I love the way that Zed is presented as a queer person and his discovery of who he is resonates with me as someone who is part of that community. This book manages to discuss a difficult and often avoided topic in a safe and understanding way. It emphasises the point that it is the woman's body, the woman's life and the woman's choice, it covers being taken advantage of and opens the doors to so many important discussions.

Loved this book so much, it's equal parts fantasy and growing up. Red is such a unique but relatable character. This book handles sexism head on in a really clever and thought provoking way. Weirdly this book is the one of the first fiction books to go into detail or even mention periods that I've read. I love the description of the sounds and textures that Red experiences, in writing so many writers just talk about the things they can see, but it's so much more immersive with all of the senses.
