Not Going To Plan
I think the book started off really strong, and I found the first half of the book really engaging. The characters and storyline were interesting, and it kept me wanting to read more. However, the second half became a bit boring because it seemed to go off topic quite a lot, which made the story lose some of its focus and excitement. Overall, it was still an enjoyable read, but I think the ending could have been more connected to the main plot.

Not Going To Plan
A fairly book about teenage pregnancy and abortion but I do have doubts about the relationship between Marnie and Zed. Would they really have connected? And the story line was a bit thin all the way through. I enjoyed the book and finished it quickly but that is because it is in verse form.

Twenty Four Seconds from Now
What a refreshing book, one that tells of a young mans wish to make everything perfect for his first sexual encounter with his girlfriend. I think every young man should read this book. It is told backwards, starting with "Right Now" then twenty-four seconds, then twenty-four minutes, then twenty-four, then twenty-four hours, up until they meet, then back to now.

This was one of the most intriguing books I've read in a while. When I saw the concept for the other books I was revolted. Same with this one. however it has been a pleasant surprise being one of my most addictive reads in a while. The fact that the book references real life scenarios (not about the main issue but a little detail that reminded me it was in the present) made me laugh and it feels like the author really cares. My first thought when I got this was "Oh great I've got the worst book here" however reading it has made me realise that this book was completely worth reading and definitely deserves a reward.

Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody
I liked the plot of the story and how the story is laid out. I also liked how funny it was. I also like animals so I really liked the characters in this story.

Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody
This book is amazing as the plot and jokes were great. It was very funny and entertaining keeping me hooked to the book. My favourite character has to be Daniel as he was very funny and silly. Even though this book is for younger kids I would recommend it for anyone who is into comedy books. I loved the backstory of France being on Zeke's knee, that was a creative idea. The book had a very nice ending with him hugging his mum and her saying I love you. Pelicarnuss was a very good villain thinking he was a supervillain. Overall this book was absolutely amazing.

Twenty Four Seconds from Now
I read 24 Seconds Till Now and it is about a boy and his girlfriend, Aya, who have been together for two years and are about to have sex for the first time. The book is structured in a really interesting way, going from 24 months, to 24 hours, to 24 minutes, and finally to 24 seconds before the moment. This helps show how their relationship develops over time from when they first meet and fall in love to when they become much closer. The main character is the boy, who is quite shy and sometimes unsure of himself. As the story goes on, you can see how he changes and becomes more thoughtful about his relationship. The story is mostly told from his point of view, which helps us understand his feelings and thoughts. Personally, I didn’t really relate to the characters because they are older than me and the topic is not something I can connect to yet. However, it still made me think about how much you need to trust and care about someone before something like that happens. I found the writing style quite easy to read and well written. The author often moves between the present moment and the boy’s thoughts, which builds tension as the story gets closer to the final 24 seconds. I liked how it focused on his emotions and what was going through his mind. My favourite part of the book was when he goes to his girlfriend’s house (around 24 minutes till now) and brings chicken with him. I liked this scene because it felt more normal and realistic, and I could imagine something like that happening in real life. My least favourite part was near the end when he is nervous in the bathroom, because it felt a bit uncomfortable and not very pleasant to imagine. In my opinion, the main message of the book is that people should not be afraid of the idea of sex and that it is something natural, but also something that requires trust and understanding. The author explains this in quite an open and honest way. I haven’t read anything like this before, especially not on this topic. Normally, I prefer books with characters my age or stories I can relate to more easily. Overall, I think this is an interesting and well-written book, but I would recommend it more to older readers, such as Year 10 or 11, rather than younger students. Even though I didn’t fully relate to it, it helped me see a different point of view and learn something new.

Twenty Four Seconds from Now
This by far was my favorite so far out of these books. I loved how it was was wrote in a timeline going backwards because it felt different to other books and more unique, I never got bored and it was also easy to understand. The only issue was how it was hard to tell when there was a flashback but it's like that in most books I've read and I eventually caught on to when everything happened.

Ghostlines
I Loved this book because it was very simple but somehow it never got boring. Normally I find books with only one plot very boring as it just feels like most of it was filler but this book made every moment interesting yet didn't make it too confusing. It was a nice simple break from some of the other more complicated books I normally read and it was way better then I expected. The only bad part was probable the fact that the plot and adventure didn't last very long and the blurb didn't really explain what the book was about very well, but other then that this books was amazing and I'll definitely re read and possibly buy the book myself.

Twenty Four Seconds from Now
Twenty-Four Seconds From Now is a wonderful book, and here's why: The author has chosen a brilliant range of vocabulary and has used it in the perfect way. There is enough information to make you want too read more, it keeps you hooked. It's just the right size story, it covers all of what the title and blurb suggests in only 239 pages. It's a different genre from what I usually chose to read but I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I would read another romantic story again because of it. The story didn't hang out the theme for too long meaning that I didn't lose interest.

The Boy I Love
I found this book very enjoyable because it was very sweet and had a great plot. It got me attached to the characters very easily and I felt like I was going to cry from the first 5 seconds in because of how much I loved the characters. I felt as if I couldn't put the book down the entire time I was reading and almost finished it in one sitting. The only problem I had was that it was very confusing at some points but at least it helped me learn some new words for the future. This was by far one of my favourite romance books I've read in a while and I will defiantly re-read.

Wolf Siren
I read this book for Carnegie and I have to say, the ideas that this book has were great. Some of my favourites things about this book are the fact that it has a female main character, it’s a something we need to see more in modern books. Also, the chills I felt reading this book was immeasurable, the description set all the sections of the book amazingly, I was so engaged! However, one major flaw this book had, the plot, we’ve had slightly more darker versions of fairy tales before but if you have read darker versions of fairytales before, the idea may seem a bit stale to you but for me it wasn’t new it was written well. The backstory behind these characters it’s very engaging, I wanted to read on. Also the ending was amazing, filled with tons of emotions. As an overall rating, I’d give it a 3.5/5, it definitely had the potential to be higher but the idea dragged it down heavily but overall, it was a pretty solid read. Would definitely recommend this to someone.
