Letters in Charcoal
I like the book because it shows how important reading actually is. It is about someone who can't read but then is passionate about reading and tries their best to learn how to read and write in Spanish. Later on, she realises how reading is used on a daily basis (such as on food packages, posters , books and signs).

The Invisible Story
This book is about a girl who is blind. She is in a library and everyone is just walking past this one book. She is running her hands across the stories to feel if any of them have braille on them (braille is a type of alphabet specifically for blind people). There is one book in the library that thinks it is forgotten just because it is written in braille and has no words but she decides to read it and she really likes it . My favourite part was when the girl actually picked the book up as it was not feeling forgotten.

Letters in Charcoal
This book is about people who cannot read and who can barely write. There are a few people in the story who know how, like the shopkeeper. He teaches a girl in exchange for helping him weigh his food into packets (1 pound each). What I like about the book is that you can learn Spanish words from some pages.

Grey
The girl in the story normally feels sunshine yellow or balloon orange bright or treetop green or new idea white or night sky black, but today, she only feels grey. Her mum said, " It's ok to feel grey. You don't have to be bright everyday. Today you feel as if all the colours have gone. Grey is lonely. Grey is when we feel we don't belong." The message of the book is that you don't always feel like bright colours. You can feel like any colour you want. All of these colours are your feelings.

Flying High
I like the starting of the book because it tells you how to make a kite and I love how Wawa always stands beside the boy like the birds is guarding him. I love the ending because everyone becomes friends.

Letters in Charcoal
I like this book because there are two sisters and the younger sister learned how to read so she taught Gina [the older sister] in charcoal outside in the pueblo. Then, the older sister learns how to write and this affects her because when she is a grown up, she will have to know how to write and read . if Gina didn't know how to read she would not get a job but luckily her younger sister taught her.

Wolf and Bear
I like the book 'Wolf and Bear'. It's about a wolf and a bear who are very good friends but suddenly, Bear feels sad. I didn't know why Bear was so sad. Wolf tried to cheer Bear up but Bear screamed, "NO!" Then, Wolf went to the mountain and she sang. Bear heard the song. Wolf saw Bear. Wolf asked again, "Can we play?" Bear said "No, but I can listen to you sing."

Wolf and Bear
I liked this book but I did not like the part where Wolf wanted to play with Bear because Bear said 'No' a couple of times, even when Wolf was singing .

I Love Books
I liked reading 'I love books'. It's about a girl who is on a summer break and she really, really hates books. She had to read a book in the summer break. When she got home, she told her mom and her mom took her to the library. The girl picked an adventure book. When she got home, she read the book and she imagined that she was in a jungle and that she met a fox. The fox said "Let's get the ingredients for the spell." "What spell?" the girl asked. "You'll see," mumbled the fox. When they got all of the ingredients, the fox cast the spell and the girl's clothes changed. She went to the library again and she picked other books. The book was very good.
