Little Bang
Little Bang is an important story about teenage pregnancy. Mel and Sid have a relationship on a drunken new years eve and Mel gets pregnant by accident. The book is about their dilemena about should they keep the baby of not.
I like Little Bang because the author is always trying to make you interested in the story, by leaving cliffhangers at the end of a chapter. I could not put the book down.
My favourite bit is when, after all the arguments and heartache, Sid and Mel found each other watching the stars where Little Bang was conceived and make peace.

King of Nothing
The book is about a boy named Anton who is a bully and always getting into trouble. Later on, the biggest loser in school saves him, so they make a pact and some crazy stuf happens along the way. The themes are friendship, disapointments and
and rudeness. I enjoyed the book as it is so relatable in many ways to all of us. My fave scene is at the end, as there is so much emotion and bravery. I would recormend this to anyone and everyone. 5 out of 5.

Letters in Charcoal
In the book a South American mother tells her son how, in her old village, only the owner of a shop know how to read. He also taught her how to read so she could read the love letters her sister received. I love the story because it shows you there are still some places where people can't read and that there is a big diversity of people around the world. The illustrations are colourful, with shadows made like a real penci or charcoal??? I love them because of the details they have and how in some pictures, some words are written in Spanish ( I am Spanish). Colours are well contrasted. I love the part when in the story, the main character finally reads her sister's letter even if the letter is a bit sad. I recommend the book to all children.

Also, the illustrations are beautiful. They are quite basic but with some fun details. I love the bookshelves. I love them because of the contrast of black and white with lots of colours. Wolf and Bear
This book, whose characters are a bear and a wolf is about the power of friendship. Their friendship is strong but at some point, Bear begins to drift away into the shadow. He now refuses to play with Fox and instead tells her to go away. This book tells us about those who walk through the shadows and the people who walk by their side. I love the way the story is told and the way the characters interact. The illustrations pastel and easy to understand. Some colours are exagerated and some objects are not the colour they should be based on real life. The illustrator uses no dark outline which makes the blend and gradient so and beautiful. The illustrations are vibrant and colourful. My favourite bit is when the bear climbs out of the shadows. I would recommend the book for children and maybe even adults.

Grey
This book was about a person who felt grey. I liked the book because the book explained that you can be grey or any other colours. The colours are like feelings, and grey means sad. The illustrations some were very dark but some were more coulourfull and I liked them all. My favourite part was when it described the coulours the person could be. I would recommend the book because it is so good and I think eneyone could like it.
Neave
Flying High
The book is about how everyone can be different (size or anything else). It is very good. You can tell some bits of the illustrations were done with pencil and they were done very nicely. We like the bit were the child rubs the height line off the wall and says "I am who I am".
Yes we would recommend it because it teaches people that everyone is different and not to be mean.

Clever Crow
Clever crow is a lovely book. It’s tells the reader loads of facts about crows whilst we also follow the crows on their journey. And it shows us that crows aren’t just boring plain birds . The illustrations are beautiful and they tell the us lots of facts as well as reading them.

The Invisible Story
This book is about a book in a library. The book thinks his pages are blank but they are written in Braille, a reading system for blind people. A little girl reads the book, showing the book that every story is different. I love the story because it is told from the books' point of view, not the reader! The illustrations are made to look like a paper cut, and the coulours look like water colours. I like the illustrations because they have lots of details. My favourite part is when the book discovers that it was written in Braille, and there fore his pages weren't blank but had a story to tell. I would recommend this book to kids more than adults. I am pretty sure that whoever reads this book will enjoy it!

I Love Books
This book tells the story of a little girl who initially hates reading. It is coming towards the end of the year and she is excited for the holidays, as she won’t have to read. However, she gets told by her teacher that she will have to do what she hates most; read a book during the holidays. At first, she is incredibly angry, but once she starts reading, she gets immersed into the book, and… can’t put it down! I love the story, as the message that is portrayed is really important and truthful as: if you don’t give reading a chance, there is no way you are ever going to like it. Most people don’t like it because of this reason, so I really recommend everyone to read it, specially those aged 5-10. The illustrations are amazing as they help us get immersed in the story.

Wolf and bear is an amazing book!It is all about a bear who does not want to go out of his shadow and his friend the wolf gets really lonely. One night the wolf starts to howl a lovely song that the bear loved and then came out of his shadow. From then on every time the wolf howls the bear goes out of his shadow. Clever Crow
This wonderful book is called Clever Crow.
I liked this story a lot because I have never known so much information about crows in such a simple easy manner.
The illustrations were nicely made by what seems to be paints. They do give off quite a gloomy feel to the book in some of them, but a cheerful bright feel in others. I do like the illustrations because they really give off the feeling of a jet-black crow cawing away in a field or busy city. My favourite bit is all of it because it’s interesting, the illustrations are beautiful and the information is given to the reader in a simple yet formal way.
i definitely would recommend because its informal, gives the reader a gloomy and dark feel to them but it’s so intriguing you just want read on!

I Love Books
The book is about a girl who hates reading, but needs to read a book for her homework over the Summer. At the end, she discorvers that books are fun. She falls inside the book and travels thorugh an enchanted forest, a bear cave and more things. I like the story because it tells you that trying new things is good. The pictures are bright, made with details which are realistic, whilst childish. I like the illustrations bacause of how the colours are combined and the shadows are used. My favourite part is when the girl finds out that she can't stop reading, and continues reading even when she is having a bath. I recomment this book to every kid who finds reading boring, because it is about trying things that don't attract you and they might change their mind.

Grey
The book is about a girl who is sad, feeling "grey". Through the book, the girl compares her feelings to colours, whic I thought was very clever. The end was also lovely as she gets comforted by her mum. I like this story bacause it shows you that there is nothing wrong with feeling sad sometimes, and happiness is alwasy here, deep inside your heart. The illustrations are a bit like they were made by children. They are colourful and with a pencil effect. I like the illustrations because they are simple and relaxing to look at. My favourite bit is when the girl's mother appears and hugs her daugter. It shows that love is everywhere and that it is infinite. I recommend this book to people who are having a bad day because according to me the moral of the book is that happiness is always with you.

His brother has a condition called endocarditis that none of his family new about and his brothers thought he was dead but he was fine. Grey
The book is about this little girl who feels like she has no purpose in her life and she just feels grey. I think the book is really good and it can help you to understand that you can feel grey and that is okey. The illustration is a bit scruffy but some people have a different opinion to me and that is fine with me. I think the illustration is very very good but I prefer a neater way of drawing. I love how it gives you a sad and then happy feeling inside. I think all children could read this book.

I loves this story because it contains a lot of unexpected parts and a lot of emotion, from grandma’s death to falling in love. All That It Ever Meant
This story is told through the perspective of Mati, a young girl who is longing for something to be a part of, it is a story of family love, loss and life lived between two cultures. Whilst dealing with the loss of her mother, Mati and her family travel from London to Zimbabwe with Mati’s gender neutral spirit.
I thought that this book was pretty good, though it could have been better. I have to admit to finding Mati a little much to begin with. Her thought processes and observations made her seem older than her years, but as the story progressed, her view of the world and those in it became easier to understand.
I would Definitely recommend this book to someone over the age of 12.

The book is about a girl and her sister who don’t know how to read but keep getting letters from the owner of the Pueblo who is called Miguel Angel and try to decipher them. That is when she decides to read. She goes to a man called Señor Velandia who is one of the only people who knows how to write in her village. He is the owner of the only shop and she asks him if he can help her to read. He says "yes" if you help me measure the bags, which will be 1 lbs (pound). She agrees and then she learns to read. She then goes to teach her sister how to read. They finally get sent another letter from Miguel, which says that he will be leaving and it will be very hard for him to come back. Gina (the older sister) cries but they know they have to make a dress for the Christmas party. They attend the party and at it Gina meets Juan Jose. She also gets her first book from Señor. "It’s OK not to be OK."
What an important message to share; not just with younger readers, but with readers of all ages! The bold illustrations convey this message perfectly, and children will love the delightful surprises revealed through the cut-outs. The story gently portrays the child’s sadness, her feelings of isolation and confusion, and ultimately her reassurance that she’s simply having a bad day, that things will get better tomorrow, and that she can find support from loved ones. Comforting and uplifting!

This book is about a young girl who isn't feeling very happy and it makes her worried and confused. I love this story because it is explaning to young children that it is OK to be sad (it would be a good reminder for adults too!). There are lots of fun cut outs, which make you try and guess what is on the next page. The author is using the colours to help express how the child feels and the drawings remind me of the Charlie and Lola stories my mum used to read me when I was 3 or 4 years old. I got the message that it is fine to not always feel happy and that sadness does not last forever.

The book is about a little kid who feels left out and finally realises thanks to his mum that they are just having a bad day. I like the book because it's an important matter written in a serious but fun way. The illustrations bring the story to life. I love the illustrations where the mum and her child are looking out of the window, happily smiling. It is great to show young children that it is OK not to be happy all the time and having a bad day does not mean it is the end of the world.

I enjoyed the story a lot. The author cleverly persuades their young readers to think that reading is one of the best gifts for anyone. The illustrations in this book include subtle colours, with the combination of some vibrant colours. The drawing is cartoony and easy to make out. I loved the style of drawing the illustrator has. The colour pallet and the brush look beautiful. I love it!

The Things We Leave Behind
As a French national living in the UK, I read this book with great interest and felt genuinely involved in the story. I cared deeply about the characters, and there were several heartwarming moments—especially when the main character found safe havens at her grandfather’s house or with the “witchy” lady who rescued her after her escape boat capsized. What struck me most—and felt disturbingly realistic—was how the author portrayed the process of first alienating “foreigners,” then dehumanising them, and finally painting them as the enemy. I truly hope this book serves as an eye-opener for the young people who read it.

Glasgow Boys
I couldn’t put this book down. I was immediately drawn into the lives of the characters and deeply moved by the past and present challenges they faced . The story offers an honest portrayal of what it’s like to be placed in care, capturing the loneliness and emotional impact with raw authenticity. Every character felt compelling in their own way, and I found myself truly caring about what happened to them. It was an emotional roller coaster and I even cried at the end. This book is perfect for helping teenage readers develop empathy and understanding for others' experiences.
Céline
Little Bang
"Little Bang" had me hooked from the very first chapter. The protagonists are endearing, and it's easy to empathize with their predicament. I thought the author did an excellent job conveying the excruciating dilemma that can arise in a teenage pregnancy situation. The plot thoughtfully explores both sides of the abortion rights debate with sensitivity, without trying to persuade the reader toward a particular stance. Instead, it shows that the right decision depends on individual circumstances and personal feelings.
Céline
Play
I can't even find the words to begin to tell everyone how amazing this book is . So, before I start, I will tell you a little about it.
This young adult fiction is about a friendship group of four boys in their final year at school,.
Told in the point of view of three of them, we get to know each boy: Mark, Matt and Luc. And through them we also learn about Johnny. They are individuals with different backgrounds and personalities but there is simple acceptance of one another, just the way they are, which I thought was great.
But then Mark starts running errands for this guy…what will happen?
I recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a good read between the age of 11 - 17 ……and I give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐
