The Things We Leave Behind
I think that this book was absolutely amazing from the first page itself as it was a sad story but very powerful . My favourite character was obviously Clem herself as she takes care of her half- sister Billie throughout the book from home to the end of their Scotland trip. This shows how Clem loves her and cares for her, as well as showing responsibility for Billie. I also love the way how Clem is presented as a mature and responsible older half-sister for Billie.

King of Nothing
I really enjoyed King of Nothing by Nathanael Lessore as its a book including both humour and friendship, where a sudden friendship between Matthew and Anton occurs with a camp trip. I really like the way the author has written the challenges as a teen and how to handle peer pressure. My favourite moment is when Matthew save Anton's life by helping him from some injury. I really like this scene because its like Matthew and Anton switch roles, where Matthew becomes strong and independent, while Anton is weak and in need in help. Hence, I think its the best book so far.

The Final Year
Oh my goodness. There is no other way to describe this book other than the fact it was AMAZING!!! The illustrations and poetic structure helped me to better connect with the characters as the pictures helped me to better understand the people in the story and every word of the book put me on edge as I tried to think "What would Nate do?" or "What would I do in that situation?" I loved this book and would highly recommend it to all readers of all ages as their is at least one character in the story that we as individuals can connect with. Hopefully, my school library can get a hold of Matt Goodfellow's next book 'The First Year' as I am not ready to stop learning about Nate's story just yet and I hope you aren't to.

The Things We Leave Behind
It was quite a hard book to read but as soon as I picked it up I couldn't stop. At the start everything seemed perfect up until after Clare's perfect birthday. Things start to get bit extreme and all they have is a notebook of past memories. This book was very good and I am sure you will be immersed in its powerful story.

King of Nothing
In this book, I really liked that sense of how just one thing could unexpectedly turn your whole life round in a completely opposite direction to the one you are facing. Knowing that Anton's dad is in prison from the start really I think impacts the world Anton already is thinking about. The book was also funny and made me laugh a few times.

Glasgow Boys
My favourite book was Glasgow Boys because of the storyline and how it twisted around these two boys that have not spoken for three years and are both in the foster care system. I loved how each of the pair had an entirely different experience and the fact that as we go throughout the book with them the truth of why they stopped talking slowly uncovers. I loved both Banjo and Finlay but Banjo was having a bit of a harder time with his family which made me feel a bit more sorry for him than Finlay.

Treacle Town
Although the book had lots of not very nice language, the plot was surprisingly good and I loved how the author just suddenly yanks Connor out of this wild setting to somewhere where only slam poetry is a focus. It was sad that Biscuits died and Connor didn't even have the time to reflect on him that much. I felt like Connor was so stuck in this world of violence that it like this world was swallowing him up bit by bit.

Little Bang
I liked the book although it had a very unusual topic but was also a topic many people don't even realise is important. My favourite character was of course Mel, this science nerd who is just scared to tell her religious family. As their relationship breaks, I feel sort of sorry for both of them since the teen pregnancy has just destroyed their world in just a couple of months.

King of Nothing
I could really connect with Anton (not in a bad way though) as the age group and difference is not much (only 2 years)

The Final Year
The Final Year was an AMAZING book, and probably my favourite in the Carnegie series. Once I started reading it, I couldn't but it down, and I liked it so much that I decided to read 'the first year' which is the book after the final year. I totally recommend it, and it has beautiful poetry in it too!

Treacle Town
I thought the book was really good and it also felt a bit emotional as the main character is in a desperate need to get away from where he is right now.I definitely recommend this book.
