The Things We Leave Behind
The Things We Leave Behind has me in mixed feelings, at the start, I found it very hard to get into but but as the storyline started to move, I found it a quite emotional and storyline based book. I would love to talk about this to other people doing the Carnegies shadowing this year. Overall it had a very shocking ending and a bad start, it is one to recommend.

The Final Year
The Final Year is a book which I believe is for younger users, I feel like this book would be better in a primary school not for secondary school. It has odd slang which made it really hard to get into, making me not enjoy it. Nothing really happened in the book and overall did not enjoy the book. Wouldn't recommend to secondary school students or above.

All That It Ever Meant
All that it ever meant was a very poorly written book, which had lots of names that were very similar, which meant it was quite confusing to relate to the characters. It gave a good understanding of the culture in this book, but it had a predictable ending, which meant the book was a bit boring. Also, it took a lot longer for me to read it than another book. I think it was a waste of my time.

King of Nothing
The King of Nothing is a lovely, funny and important book based on it's storyline and message that it is trying to get across. This book made me laugh out loud but also feel very sorry for some characters throughout the book. I has emotional depth which pulled me in. Overall I loved the book and definitely in the running line for my vote.

The Final Year
The final year was a very well written book. I think it would be really informative for younger readers, but it felt a bit too young for me. It had a good plot, and did inform you on lots of the little facts, but it ended too perfectly. I also think it was too unrealistic that all of the teachers would say year 6 is the most important year, as it is quite important, but I can think of lots of other much more important years. As well as this, I don't think a year 6 would have such a wide understanding of the world.
