I loved this book and how the tree grew and followed the river that made it bring itself to life. I loved how all the pictures tied together.

I liked this book. I really liked the fact there was a leaf giant. I enjoyed the pictures more than the story. My favourite character was the dad.

I liked all the pictures and how the tree is in every picture but also how in every picture the river is in every picture too. The book made me feel really happy and really sad because of how the tree was changing and how it came around again !

I loved how the intention behind this book is somewhat disguised much like the characters are. At first, it seems to be a book of magic, enchantment and imagination but about halfway through you realise the undertones and real message behind the characters’ journey. I would thoroughly recommend ‘To the Other Side’ as it is meaningful, thought-provoking and made me stop and think.

The Wilderness
Loved this book so much! I loved how Oktober was worried about the wilderness but in the end he loved him and travelled to different places. The illustrations were amazing and my favourite character was December because he is so adventurous!

I think ‘April’s Garden’ was a very inspiring and motivating book to read because there are lots of good sayings. I loved the illustrations, as they made me feel happy and I especially love the picture of when April’s little seeds transformed into beautiful, tall flowers.
