The Song Walker
I really enjoyed this book and how they used specific words for description. Reading through this felt as if I was in the story - the description was on point, I felt immersed into the book. I also really liked the story like how they built up all the info at the end to give the reader sympathy. I loved how the author wrote the different concepts together in the middle and explained it at the end. Some of my favourite parts: The Debonaire/spirit scene - it feels like a move the way it is described. It really feels like a movie, how it was a dream sleeping, blackness, being poisoned and then suddenly being rescued is immaculate! This book is amazing. Zillah Bethell is an actual genius. The plot, moral, lesson was so well described! I really enjoyed this book.

The Midnight Panther
This story has the important message of how you shouldn't let other peoples' or creatures appearances distract you from your own. This celebrates the idea of 'no outsiders'. I really liked the illustrations and enjoyed the moral of the story. I would really recommend this books as it is really enjoyable and the illustrations are so detailed!

The Midnight Panther
I really enjoyed reading this book, even though there aren't any words, the illustrations were really helpful! I liked the illustrations, they show the character's personalities'. I enjoyed the lesson behind this story - it's about how one nice gesture can turn into friendship and this books gives a good representation of that. I like how the different pages are different scenes and interactions - it makes it easier for my brain to understand. Overall, I really liked reading this book and I think that it will spread an important lesson to people about friendships and being nice.

Choose Love
Nicola Davies wrote this book in response to the war in Syria. She wrote it about refugees who are suffering tragedies such as having to find new homes or new schools. Nicola Davies was full of fury when she found out that the UK government refused to help 3,000 child refugees. I like how she auctioned pictures by Petr Horacek to raise money for the charity Help Refugees, who became Choose Love. My favourite poem was 'Five Minutes' because it was about the refugees struggle to collect their belongings in so little time in order to flee to safety. I like the rhyming scheme because it makes the poem more engaging.
