To the Other Side
I like this book because of how much the little girl loves her brother. She said that the shadows which were chasing the children were fake, but they were real. She also said that the journey to the other city was just a game, but that was real too.

I learned that sometimes you just need to believe in yourself.

April's Garden
This is the story about April's garden. April was not happy when she and her mom moved. The new house was big and had a garden. It was raining. April and her mom only had pennies for their own. April wanted to grow flowers of different shapes. She waited and waited and waited then her mom said to her, "It takes a while to grow," Finally, April saw little green shoots coming out. Mama said, "You have to find a good place for them." The flowers were pink and had different shapes. April was really, really happy!

I like how the children say that journeying to a new country is a game with challenges.

April's Garden
This book is all about patience. April has to endure and wait for her flowers to grow and she says that it's hard to wait but finally, they grew after all her hard work and I learned to be patient.

The Bowerbird
This book is really nice because I like the way the bowerbird had to try really hard until he got his wife.

Lost
A bear got lost trying to find his way home. He asked random people for help and a lady at a reception desk gave a map to the bear. He followed a young boy to his house. The bear saw a book called "North Pole" and explained that this is his house looked like. The boy finally understood the problem and helped the bear. The bear was so happy to find his home.

The Bowerbird
I really love this book because it is about a bird who wanted a bride. He saw a female bird and the little bird asked, "Will you come inside my bower?"

The Bowerbird
In the BowerBird there was a bird called Bert who built a bower and wanted a wife and that's the part I learnt from. Choose someone who likes you for who you are not someone who likes you for what you have.

April's Garden
I love how when April draws her dream garden, the colours completely change. I also like when she grows her dream. Her dream comes true. I recommend this book to children of all ages

The Bowerbird
We had a go at writing our own poem together, in the style of the Bowerbird: Next day, Nanette came back and saw, Gathered together on the floor, A shiny stone, a tiny comb, A loaf of bread and something red, An amazing game, A mesmerising frame, A stick of glue, a berry blue, Plus the pretty, purple flower, "Now, will you come inside my bower?"

This book was really good. I love the way that the bear never gave up. It is very funny when he thought that the bath tub was the sea. I recommend this book to all children and adults. AMAZING!
